As I look back at the blushing bride, we see that she has not changed her makeup style, but then why change something that works!

If you want to recreate her look here are some of my favourite products and tips used to highlight her key features:

Brows – If you are dark haired like Kate I would recommend filling in any light brow hairs with an angle brush and an eye shadow powder, gently sweeping the powder over the hairs will give you a subtle look, for a stronger look like Kate’s brush the powder over the skin too, try Bobbi Brown Brow Kit.

Eyes – Kate doesn’t go anywhere without that black liner! She uses it all round the eye for intensity. If you are going to try this look, then you want something long lasting and smudge resistant, I suggest a gel liner, either Bobbi Brow black ink or for a budget liner try Maybelline’s black gel liner, it even comes with a little brush! Mascara is a must for this look, try Lancôme’s Definicils for more of a day look and Dior Blackout to transform to more of a night look.

Cheeks and Lips - Finish the look by adding some blush to the apples of the cheeks with a soft round blusher brush using circular motions. Try Mac powder blush in Frankly Scarlett or for more of a shimmer try Chanel in 55 In Love. With Kate focusing on her eyes, keep lips simple with a nude lipstick, with a hint of pink, rumour has it that the Bobbi Brown Sandwashed Pink lip colour has long been a favourite of The Duchess, followed by a layer of Crystal lip gloss.

I got the pleasure of working at the Aviator Hotel in Farnborough this month doing the hair and make up for the lovely Claire, her three bridemaids and her mum. The Aviator Hotel is a beautiful luxury hotel that overlooks the TAG Farnborough Airport.

As myself and Becky arrived at the Aviator Hotel we were shown up to Claire’s room which was on the 4^th Floor, with windows all the way round the lobby and a spiral staircase it really did feel like you were looking out of plane and into the sky! It was amazing

Can’t wait to see what next month brings!!!

I arrived on campus at 4:15pm and quickly found the Toynbee Boarding House where I was greeted by Leonie Gurd (Housemistress) who had very kindly set up a designated room for hair and makeup where the girls could get ready.

I then met the lovely Sienna who’s prom hair and makeup I was doing. Sienna picked a picture out of a magazine (of makeup she liked) and gave me the brief of loose beach waves (not too curly) for her hair. I quickly got to work and in a little less than 2 hours Sienna was ready to get into her dress. This was the result:

Sienna informed me “everyone was commenting on how amazing my eyes looked!” – Yay!!

These styles, like the ones we all see in the movies can often be quite structured, with ringlets galore, but by relaxing the hair do and leaving out the ringlets, that are so much a defining part of these styles, we were left with the perfect bridal do for Jessica!

Because lets face it ladies, who doesn’t want a Mr Darcy?!

I had a lovely trial with one of my brides called Agata, it was great because she asked for a hairstyle I had never seen before, it looked great!

I have her wedding coming up in a couple of weeks, really looking forward to it. I will be doing her hair and makeup alongside two bridesmaid’s hair and makeup, exciting

On Sunday I met the lovely Tori Simpson who was getting ready for her 18^th birthday party in Revolutions. in my home town Reading! With 200 people attending Tori had chosen a gorgeous white dress and wanted glamorous hair and makeup. We went for her hair loosely curled and pinned half up, half down with a bit of height and for the makeup, Tori wanted the main focus to be on her eyes so we went for a dark smokey eye look with false lashes to add to the effect!

My favourite product I used on Tori was the Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich foundation in shade 4 Natural as it gives a flawless finish and lasts well especially when used over the top of a primer!

A certain amount of preparation went into creating what I though would be the perfect balance of vintage, elegance, style and youth, while at the same time complimenting her breathtaking Grace Kelly style dress.

Lizze’s initial hair ideas included low buns and Grecian inspired texturised styles, all very red carpet at the moment. It was my job to find the compromise that matched the vintage makeup she had always pictured and an elegance to match the truly wonderful location she is getting married in, St Paul’s Cathedral.

By creating height at the crown and keeping the style medium to high on the back of the head, you reveal all of the neck and keep that structured, classic look. The curls and swirls that make up the bun give the style the youth and a more up to date feel.

This month I also found myself on a set with Andy Barnes for a test shoot for his tattoo makeups – nearly 2 hours in and not even finished yet!! It’s a working title so more details and on set photos to follow!

March 20^th brought me a photoshoot at the STEAM Museum in Swindon, Wiltshire organised by Natalie Lovett of Love To Plan, the museum is now an exciting wedding venue! And what a great venue it is, with the pictures we got back from the shoot for the STEAM magazine and website it’s a location with vintage flair. With the Caerphilly Castle Steam Train setting the scene, as well as bunting and flowers a plenty, this really does set it apart from other venues!

It was a great day making over Emily Cooper who was our beautiful bride for the day. I decided to go for a vintage feel hair and makeup, to tie in with the location so she modelled a loosely waved updo with a striking red lip and perfectly defined eyes.

The gorgeous flowers were provided by Julia of Bouquets For Brides and the beautiful dresses were supplied by Jill Chatfield of Hazlewood Bridal Boutique.

The picture postcard scenes were captured by Your Digital Memories who did a great job and got a fab shot of the bride’s veil flowing out of the train like steam!

The first day of summer was my bridal makeover for a colleague of mine. Natalie was blessed with gorgeous sunshine you couldn’t have counted on having, on the first summer’s day! And although the clocks had changed the night before it all ran like clockwork. As well as doing Natalie’s bridal makeup I was invited to the wedding at the lovely venue of Norman Court Prep School West Tytherly, Wiltshire.

29^th March was Easton Royal Schools pamper evening – where I got to give free makeup consultations and makeup the yummy mummy’s in the area, leaving them looking ready to ditch the dinners and taxi driving and glam it up on the town!!

 A great month, long may it continue!

Sunshine, lots and lots of lovely exhibitors, lots of tea and maybe a little bit of cake….

Myself and Jo from Beauty Call were doing vintage makeovers all day and chatting to brides to be. We did hair and makeup for some gorgeous models in the fashion show too…

Dresses were Claire Pettibone at Exquisite Bridal Couture, made to measure and the hair flowers by Bespoke Blooms.

We were lucky enough to be next to lovely lady Emily from Fishee Designs with her Vintage inspired Photo booth again. I think our models enjoyed it and maybe we had a little go too . . .
