We’re delighted to announce that Aimee Long has now been the Beauty Call franchisee for the Harrogate and Darlington postcodes for a month!
She came down to the Beauty Call Studio in London at the start of May for her business training and is now working hard on setting up links with popular wedding venues in the Harrogate and Darlington postcodes.
Aimee lives in York, and covers the whole of the Yorkshire, alongside Alison, the Beauty Call franchisee for the Leeds and York postcodes.
Covering the Darlington postcode also means she will be working in County Durham.
Caitlin Scott is our new franchisee for the EC postcode!
She recently returned from travelling in Thailand and Australia (to the real world!) and has taken on the franchise for the East Central London postcode.
EC is where the Beauty Call Studio is located, so Caitlin will be working from the studio and concentrating on not only the wedding market but also the huge draw of all the high rise corporates dominating the skyline around us.
I joined Beauty Call in May 2011 and I’m almost through my first year. I come from a purely freelance back ground mainly working in TV and Advertising. I was looking for something that was relatively stable without giving up any flexibility, so I could continue to pursue other freelance work and projects.
Progress has been steady, which has been fantastic as I haven’t felt overwhelmed by running my own business. I can only echo what the other franchisee’s say about the support and help given by Nicky, Phil and each-other. Even though it is my own business the advice given is invaluable to progress and grow. You never feel like you are solely on your own, and you always have someone to throw questions at.
With Beauty Call’s main line of enquiry being bridal you would be wrong in thinking it was just spring summer work. I have weddings throughout the year and yes the busiest time is Spring / Summer. However, from early February this year I have been trialling lots of brides and am now working on their weddings. This has enabled me to turnover a good revenue from early this year and hopefully this will continue until the end of the wedding season.
Most of my bridal work comes through the website, but with all of the franchisee’s exhibiting at wedding fairs and creating links with suppliers together we push the brand and get it widely known beyond our own areas, meaning we are always growing, expanding and year on year increasing bookings. It really is exciting to be part of a growing company that has long term goals and has no fears of what is achievable.
