I was so happy that Jennifer Sinclair emailed to ask if I wanted to be involved in a styled bridal shoot with a bit of a twist.
When she mentioned an “Alice in Wonderland Photoshoot” I was sold and couldn’t wait to get creative!
I absolutely LOVE working in the bridal industry and wouldn’t change it for the world, however when something a bit different pops up im always eager to get stuck in and work with like-minded individuals!
We had planned 3 sets of shoot ideas for the day: “Alice through the looking glass”; “Simply Alice” and Mad Hatter Alice.
“Mad Hatter Alice”
This was the 1st set we did on the day, I was behind the scenes in one of the hotels lovely conference rooms whilst Rhoda from “Your Heaven Scent flowers” was down in the woods creating the most magical scene and Jennifer “Jennifer Sinclair Photography” was planning and working out all the best spots for light as well as organising the hundreds of props she had sourced for the shoot, Miss organised!!
We had a beautiful blue cocktail dress for this set, Rhoda had created a beautiful “Alice band” of small cream roses and Jennifer had some great ideas of shooting. I went a bit heavier on the makeup to switch it up a bit and softened the hair a bit by brushing out the ringlet curls I had created using my “L’oreal TechiArt Pli” and my new “GHD eclipse”.
As you can see from the pictures, Kerry was the perfect model for this shoot, she had so much fun with it and was completely at ease which helped her get into the true Alice Role.
“Alice through the looking glass”
This set was my favorite, I was able to go a bit crazy with the hair and take the makeup up a notch.
I gave the hair a bit of a 60’s twist creating a beehive and backcombing the curls into a bit of a frizz ball, which actually ended up as the perfect hairstyle, a bit by mistake I do admit!
I used “MAC – Girl About Town” lipstick on the lips and added a touch more blusher “MAC – Dollymix”
All in all it was a great day spent with some lovely people, we have a “Cinderella” shoot in the pipeline now so watch this space!
Lots of Love
