BB cream aka Blemish Balm

This summer has been a completely different summer for me as I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy at the end of July, so although I have had the summer of working on beautiful brides, I have certainly had my hands full.

Luckily while I have been on maternity leave some of the fantastic artist on the Beauty Call books have been filling in for me, thank you ladies for being so FAB 🙂

I have my first wedding at the end of September and am really looking forward to it.

Whilst I have been on maternity leave I have been trying a range of BB creams as they seem to be huge this year. They were first introduced in 2011, following their huge success in the Asian Market.

A BB creams is known either as a Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm depending on the company you buy them from – most BB creams provide moisturisation, SPF protection and sheer cover.  BB creams are similar to tinted moisturisers however they go that one step further. They have additions such as antioxidants and Hyaluronic acid to regenerate the skin.

Here is my favourite BB cream, Christian Dior Hydra Lift BB Cream – has an SPF of 30 and provides UVA and UVB protection.
