Another day, another styled shoot!
So this time round I collaborated with my favourite people again!
Everything about this shoot screams GLAMOUR , HIGH FASHION , BEAUTY, 2015!
Leonie has decided to stock the gorgeous “Halfpenny London” collection in her boutique bridal shop in Brighton so of course we had to do a styled shoot to show them off!
Sarah chose the gorgeous venue, Upwaltham Barns, I had worked here a couple of times before but had been tucked away in the cottage getting the bridal party ready each time so had never ventured into the barns and gardens. WOW! This is definitely where I’ll be getting married one day, its stunning!
When we arrived on the Monday morning, the team were working hard tidying up and cleaning everything in sight after their busy weekend of weddings, the grounds are so well looked after as you will be able to tell from the pictures!
Leonie and Sarah gave me free reign with the hair and makeup so I took full advantage of this and let my creative side go a bit wild!
We did start off quite traditional with a beautiful full lace dress and the most delicate headpiece/accessory. I used Makeup Forever HD foundation to create a flawless base and to keep Kerrys natural English rose complexion I used Ben Nye cream colour wheel as cream blush. Contour and Highlight was Sleek Makeup, contour kit from Superdrug – AMAZING – if you haven’t tried it, you are missing out!
On the eyes, I wanted to bring out the blue in Kerry’s Eyes so I used my Limecrime Venus Palette, the warm tones really made her eyes pop and paired with my favourite MAC lipstick -Crème Cup she was ready to go!
These are just the pictures from my Iphone and really don’t do Kate Langdale Florist flowers any justice, they were absolutely beautiful and so much thought had gone into the colours and types of flowers used to match the outfits and accessories!
Paired with a headband from Leonies huge accessories collection gave it a slightly 70’s hippy type look which all came together amazingly well.
I brushed out the tight curls into more of a 50’s wave and changed the lip to MAC – fusion pink.
The next “HalfPenny London” gown was very glam covered in sequins with a high neckline so I wanted to pull the hair off the face and show off the beautiful detail of the dress.
A tightly pulled ponytail with the curls backcombed using L’oreal texture dust to give it some shape and texture, with some stronger contouring and highlighting. A slightly darker eye and a nude lip gave us a completely different look.
Another one of Leonie’s gorgeous head bands paired with the dress and hair and makeup made Kerry look like a film star!
The final look was my favorite, a gorgeous 2-piece from HalfPenny London which Leonie has assured me will be flying off the shelves as soon as Sarah Critchlow Photography releases the pictures of it.
I wanted to take the hair and makeup to another level with this dress as it’s a bit quirky and fun so I gelled the parting of Kerry’s hair down and them backcombed through the lengths using my L’oreal texture dust and Schwarzkopf hairspray – got2be 2sexy.
It only seemed right to use the blingiest hair band Leonie had supplied us with to give the look some glamour/high fashion style.
The makeup got darker and the contour got stronger and the lips got brighter!
At the end we had a bit of fun with some delicate fabric flowers which were supposed to be on the skirt, but of course we had to use them as a hair accessory! It turned out pretty well if you ask me!
Lots of love
