With spring on it’s way. it’s the perfect time to revamp your beauty routine before wedding and feel good about yourself. Your skin may have taken a bit of a battering with the recent cold weather not to mention the over indulgence and late nights over the festive season!
The perfect way to give it a bit of a boost is to give yourself a rejuvenating facial, it’s worth remembering that if your skin is looked after and well prepped any makeup will sit nicer, making it look more flawless.
1) Cleanse Skin
First of all make sure your skin is well cleansed and free from makeup.
Then the next step is to exfoliate. My favourite is Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains. These tiny grains are made up of crushed Japanese Adzuki beans and can be added to your regular cleanser or mixed with a touch of water, rub in small circular motions over the face and neck and rinse to leave your skin feeling amazingly smooth! Some other good exfoliators are Origins Modern Friction, I also love the St Ives facial scrub range (these are great if you’re on a budget too!).
3) Face Mask
Now your skin is nice and smooth its time to treat it to a face mask. I like the Montagne Jeunesse range (they are those ones you see in sachets stocked in Boots and Superdrug), they smell great and have a variety of different masks for all skin types. Not to mention at £1 a sachet they won’t break the bank!
Next up is to use a serum. Serums are good for repairing and adding moisture to the skin and they penetrate the skins layers deeper than a moisturise. My favourite for my skin is from the Origins Dr Weil range in Boots, its great for angry skin prone to redness. Origins also do a great range of serums for various skin concerns so if you haven’t yet its worth checking them out! Also lets not forget the rave reviews No7 Perfect and Protect Serum gets.
Follow up with your moisturiser, you may find at different times of the year you need to change your moisturiser the change in weather can have an effect of you skin. I find I’m quite oily in summer but much dryer in the winter.
Your skin should now feel smoother, softer, cleaner and brighter!
