Become a makeup artist – train with Beauty Call Academy

I love training people to become a makeup artist and hair stylist, it brings me back down and reminds me why I do what I do!

It’s easy to get stressed out and lose focus when its peak wedding season, so I was excited to start training Candice this month!

Candice has just had a baby, so it’s perfect timing whilst shes still on maternity leave from her current job to do our “Advanced Hair and Makeup” course.

The first day we went kit shopping, which has got to be any girly girls dream! MAC, Laura mercier, Bobbi Borwn, Makeup Forever, Ben Nye, Nars, Estee Lauder, Kevyn Aucoin, Hourglass, YSL, Chanel and Dermalogica stalls all got raided by myself and Candice! Now it was time for us to put this amazing makeup kit to use!

The first official makeup day we covered all the introduction to the makeup course and even managed to start the application process!

I wanted to throw Candice in at the deep end as this really helps to show me her strengths and weaknesses and let’s me decide where a bit of extra help may or may not be needed!

I was pleasantly surprised as the day went on and Candice definitely has a natural flare for applying makeup!

Here are a few pictures of the looks we have created!

I’m really looking forward to the rest of the training days I have with Candice and can’t wait to see where her makeup work will take her in the future!

I’m really enjoying my training so far with Becky. I can tell she really knows her stuff which reassures my decision to take the plunge and give this training course a shot. She is patient and approachable and at the end of each day I feel as if I have learnt so many new things, it makes me all the more eager to put things into practice
