ANSWERS TO SOME COMMON QUESTIONS
IF I DECIDE NOT TO BOOK DO I NEED TO PAY ANYTHING FOR THE TRIAL?
The £10 booking fee applies when you originally book to secure your date and the best available artist. £50 fee if you decide not to proceed with the booking. You can always have secondary trials (charged @ £30 per hour) to perfect your look.
HOW LONG DO TRIALS TAKE?
About 2 hours is average, if it takes more than 3 hours there is a discretionary £30 per hour fee.
CAN YOU DO AIRBRUSHING/FALSE LASHES?
Sure, individual ones work best – try them out and see if you like them. Airbrushing can be done – but only by a few of our artists – please check availability.
CAN MY BRIDESMAIDS/MUM HAVE A TRIAL TOO?
Yes of course, £50 each – payable direct to your artist on the day of the trial.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
Every artist has their own individual kit preferences, but may include: Mac, Laura Mercier, Benefit, Lancome, Nars, Clinique, Estee Lauder
HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?
£150 for hair and makeup / £90 for hair OR makeup (50% deposit of the bridal costs to secure everything for you)
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE AND TAKEN OFF THE TOTAL BILL.
IS EVERY MAKEUP ARTIST THE SAME RATE?
Yes, all artists cost the same and are of very similar standards.
DO I NEED TO PROVIDE GRIPS, SPRAY ETC?
No, but your tiara and/or veil are useful to have at your trial.
I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN, CAN I USE MY OWN PRODUCTS?
Sure, whatever you need to make sure you don’t have a reaction on your wedding day.
CAN YOU PROVIDE HAIR PIECES?
Yes, but it’s advisable to buy your own to get an exact colour match – Sally’s is a good shop to try.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH TRAVEL?
Travel is charged at 40p a mile from the local artist’s base to your venue (return) but is negotiable.
