Festival Fever – Festival Hair and Makeup Ideas

It has been an incredibly busy season for weddings in Wiltshire this year, but as well as wedding season being in full swing there is also a lot of festival fever around!

Music, comedy & beer festivals are taking place up and down the country (Reading and Leeds, The Notting Hill Carnival and Bestival coming up) and as there are so many going on, full of crazy beautiful things to see & do it’s time to get crazy beautiful with my…..

Festival hair and makeup ideas!

One of my top products I use for events like these are Phyllis Cohen’s amazing creations my favourites being Face Lace.

These intricate amazing designs are instant makeup for the face that come in all different colourways and styles making it perfect for festivals/parties…just stick on & go!

These can be worn over makeup, so go for a light BB cream you can pop on in your tent where you don’t need to worry about the foundation brush. For a skinted BB you can trust Garnier BB’s to give you the sheer coverage you need and if you are feeling a bit minted go for Dior Skin Nude BB voted no.1 by Vogue darling!

Try out Dove Child which comes in 3 different colourways reflecting perfectly the festival feel inspired by Woodstock.

Also try out the cool splash sheets, & beauty sparks for a hint of that 90’s IT girl as worn by Jenner Kendall.

As the 90’s vibe is well and truly here you can go daring and be more adventurous with a statement lipstick, think Gwen Stefani mid 90’s or Rhi Rhi’s latest rival wearing a deep emerald shade.

If you up for being daring this summer head over to Illamasqua – the top shop for all crazy colourful makeup buys and try out lippy’s Apocalips and Underworld

And for Gwen’s notorious deep red pout go for Lime Crime’s Velvetine lippy in Wicked which will last you through to the wee hours! (FYI Also great for a vintage bridal look!)

One of a girl’s main issues when camping it up! But you can leave the confines of the tent with Batiste Dry Shampoo Spray, now endorsed by Pixie Lott – if it’s good enough for her gorgeous locks, it’s good enough for us!

To disguise the ‘haven’t washed in days’ look – plaits are the way to go! From fishtail to french the possibilities are endless and they won’t show the greasy roots or dry ends!

My new favourite product which was introduced to me by one of my stylist friends will instantly change your hair from drab to fab in seconds. It’s called Colorsmash Hair Shadow…this great product is condensed pigment that when you drag onto hair will change the colour for up to the minute styling!

I have Oh La La Lavender which is a great pastel purple and when taken onto strands and put into plaits it looks amazing and anyone would think you have spent ages on your hair when it takes seconds!

So go on and get creative, it’s never been a better time to express yourself!!!
