Hats, Hats, Hats – Wedding Hats by Lesley Linton

We have seen a growing increase in the wearing of hats over the last year, and I would say that’s down to our lovely Duchess of Cambridge and her love for fascinators and hats.

Here are a couple of my favourites:

When should you wear a hat?  Well, in my opinion, I think there doesn’t have to be a special occasion, but if you’re looking for one, there are plenty of reasons, one being Ascot.

With the new rules being introduced on dress code, “Hats should be worn; a headpiece which has a base of four inches (10cm) or more in diameter is acceptable as an alternative to a hat.”  They were bigger and better than ever, this year.

Other occasions when it is deemed acceptable or even a necessity to wear a hat, (at Beauty Call’s favourite place), a wedding!  Especially if worn by the mother of the bride!  You probably wouldn’t want to be as crazy as the above.

Although I’m fairly new at Beauty Call, I have been doing wedding hair and make up for over 5 years and it has taken me to now to find someone I wanted to work with on the wedding hats side of things, incorporating updo’s that not only can withstand the test of a hat  but compliment them.

I would like to introduce my newest supplier Lesley Linton, although we are related I can I say that independently I love these hats!

Lesley has always has a passion to be creative and it wasn’t until a few years ago she took an interest in the world of hats when attending a workshop at the Made Factory.  She has since taken up millinery classes with the renowned Rose Cory, where she continues to develop her skills.

She now lives, sleeps, and breathes hats and specialises in Percher hats, and her first collection is entitled, ‘Le Petit Chapeau’ (The Little Hat)

Each hat is hand sewn, bespoke and created with love.

Not only does she make these perfect little hats but also has collections for the younger members of the bridal party which is include lovely little headbands. (Although I would wear them and I’m definitely no longer a child!)

Everything you see is a one of kind.  Orders can be taken at [email protected].  Get them in quick and follow her on Twitter too – user: lesleymlinton
