Well, what a month it has been. I finished my last wedding fair of the season at Lythe Hill at the beginning of the month. This month had been very busy with enquiries for next year and following up any new jobs that come in.
Also at the beginning of the month I was assisting a Make-Up Artist at IMG Studios in Chiswick for ESPN. I got very excited thinking that I may be doing David Beckham’s make up as we were filming for one of the Europa Cup games. I’m sad to say that I didn’t meet David but it was good fun and a good experience.
I had the pleasure of doing a lovely wedding on the 19th November for Liz at Gorse Hill – who we are recommended suppliers for. It was a lovely a beautiful sunny day and I did the hair and make up for Liz, her niece and bridesmaid Joanna and her flower girl Olivia.
Liz had a very 1930’s beautiful dress and she didn’t often wear make-up so we kept the make-up very natural and defined her eyes, and then with Liz’s hair which was very short, we blow-dried to create a bit of volume and then straightened the ends to create texture. Then to finish Liz had chosen a side Tiara to add a bit of sparkle as her dress was very simple.
Joanna’s make up again was very simple and natural but we opted for a very Amy Winehouse, beehive French Pleat hairstyle to go with her style.
Olivia the flower girl had a beautifully simple silver dress so we added a little bit of sparkly silver eye shadow to her eyes and then curled her beautiful blonde thick hair. To finish Olivia’s hair we secured half of it back with 2 flower grips.
Liz had a friend doing the photography, the dress was from Teokath in Wimbledon, and the flowers were beautifully done by another one of Gorse Hill’s suppliers Love and Light Flowers.
