Most brides have a slew of things to do in order to get ready for the big day, including all the finishing touches on their bridal look. If you’ve booked yourself in for a manicure then you may want to opt for picking a nail polish color that matches and really showcases your wedding ring on the big day. There’s a good chance you’ll have a number of photos that show your rings, so why not have your nails looking the absolute best they can.
Now there are a couple of different routes you can take depending on your personality and bridal style. Let’s take a closer look.
Neutral and Subtle
Deciding to take a more subtle and neutral approach with your nail polish is often a popular choice amongst brides. Neutrals work on all brides, of any age, and with any sort of bridal style. This is a great option if you want your wedding ring to really pop and be the focal point in the photos.
A French manicure is an excellent option of going neutral and subtle, but there are some fun twists you can take on the traditional look. Instead of going for a clear base you could pick a pale pink or peach color, and then have the white tips. The look is elegant and pretty, but still neutral.
Instead of a French manicure you could use any pale or pastel color on your nails. You may even want to just do a clear base with some shimmer or sparkle added to it.
You’ll find the French manicure works great with yellow and white gold.
Adding Color and Pop
If your bridal style tends to be a bit more bold and whimsical, then there’s a good chance you want to carry that look through to your nail polish. If you happen to have a little pop of color in your dress, you can use that same color on your nails. Another option is to have your nails painted the color of the bridesmaid dresses, or pull a color out of the bouquets you and your ladies are carrying.
Again you can play with the style by doing a bold twist on the French manicure if you like. If your wedding ring is yellow gold, you can add that same metallic to your nails. Paint your full nail gold, or use it as part of a customized French manicure. You could also add shimmer, sparkle, or jewels with the gold polish.
If you happen to have white gold as your wedding ring, you can do the same look as above but using silver nail polish instead. Bronze, peach, and pink also help to accent white gold.
For those who have a rose gold wedding ring, red is a beautiful nail polish colour that really enhances the rose tones in the gold.
Your nail polish gives you yet another way to let your personal bridal style shine and really create a personalised and memorable look.
