Annabel – hair and makeup artist London gives her red carpet makeup tips.
Keep bang on trend this season and introduce a splash of Aqua into your smokey eye. The blue smokey eye is totally universal and suits any skin tone … so here is how it’s done.
First prep the eye to help the eye-shadow last longer with an eye primer. Apply a neutral shadow a few shades lighter than your own skin tone all over the eyelid try Screenface Matte Palatte.
Sweep a soft black shadow over the lid – how much depends on how dramatic you want the colour. For the Selena Gomez look blend a deep navy eyeshadow in with the black and sweep out. Try MAC eye shadow in Deep Truth.
Use a black cole liner in the water line underneath the eye and using a small angled brush softly sweep a black shadow under the eye, then blend your aqua shadow over the top of this. To take this look one step further I like to use the Pixi Deep Blue gel liner along the top and bottom lash line to blend in with the shadows, which will enhance the look.
And finally … apply extra helpings of your most dramatic mascara to finish this look! Try Dior Blackout.
For even more dramatic look apply false lashes.
