I’m quickly approaching the end of my first year as the Beauty Call franchise in Hertfordshire and I wanted to let you all know about the amazing journey I’ve had so far.
After dabbling in wedding makeup over the last six years, I decided to re-train and update my skills by taking the Beauty Call Academy Advanced Hair and Makeup Course, before jumping in to the role of franchisee.
I did LOTS of research into hair and makeup courses, and I found that the Beauty Call course ticked all the boxes. There’s 1-to-1 tuition with some of the most talented artists in London, which means you get the chance to really hone your skills. Models are provided of all different ages and ethnicities, so you don’t end up practicing on each other and wasting time – which was perfect for me as I don’t like being seen without any makeup on!!
There’s also a glamour hair and makeup day, where you learn to create the TOWIE look and the classic smokey eye, and the course even includes a blowdrying day, amongst other things.
Plus, images from the final photoshoot at the Beauty Call studio are great for kick-starting or updating your portfolio.
My first year as a Beauty Call franchisee has been brilliant. I’ve worked with some very talented people and met lots of lovely brides! I’m really looking forward to seeing what next year holds. I just wish I’d taken the jump sooner!
