The weather may be like Winter and a bit of extra hairspray is needed for the gales but that hasn’t stopped the work here 🙂
I had a mid week wedding on the 6th June at the beautiful Orchardleigh House and Park in Frome, where I made up the bride Denise and her bridesmaids. It was my first time at this venue – I was blown away by the beautiful rolling countryside. The house is set on 550 acres of park land with lakes.
Friday 8th June saw me at the lovely Carrie’s where she was needing a nice updo to attend a wedding, with a 50’s feel silk navy dress and pillar-box red fascinator I decided to go for an updo that would reflect that era but is easy to wear.
On 19th June I completed and successfully passed my O.P.I Gelcolor course! Yaay!! It’s the ideal manicure/pedicure as it lasts up to 2 weeks on fingernails and 4 weeks on toe nails – chip free and glossy throughout so perfect for brides who are worried their manicure won’t last through the honeymoon.
Afterwards me and my model Claire treated ourselves to a dip in Bath’s Thermal Spa’s after all that hard work 🙂
The end of the month was filled with more trials as well as the lovely Charlotte’s prom who looked and felt like a princess on her day.
I received this the next day from her mum and Charlotte
“Hi Marie, just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything and making Charlotte look like a true princess for her prom xx Thank you Cx”
And finally the 30th was spent in sunny…yes sunny Highbridge near Taunton!
It was the morning of Stacey’s wedding and her lovely family were also made up by myself and Kylie. Stacey went for a lovely textured updo on the day with golden brown tones to the eyes and a luscious sheer pink lip. I think the sun came out that morning just for her as the forecast for the day was pretty miserable! Photo’s still to come..can’t wait to see them!
Be back to blog soon so stay tuned 🙂
