I recently had the great pleasure of doing Emma’s hair and makeup for her wedding in Hertfordshire. I first met Emma back in January for her trial and it soon became clear that we shared a passion for animals, especially cats!
Emma and Matt were married and had their wedding reception at St Michael’s Manor Hotel, a stunning wedding venue in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Even though it was a rainy day, the gardens and surroundings looked spectacular and the weather certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit!
Emma’s bridal gown was a beautifully detailed Ronald Joyce satin dress from The Bridal House in Aston Clinton (Bucks).
Therefore, Emma chose a classic wedding hair up-do with slight volume on top and soft curls pinned at the back.
I created Emma’s look by using the following products:
- Priming the face using Screenface.
- Applying Revlon ColorStay Foundation with a light coat of MAC Translucent loose powder, followed by a subtle peach blusher to the cheeks.
- For the eyes, I used the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and then blended soft shadows from the Urban Decay Naked Palette over the eye. I finished the eyes off with Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in black. For the lips, I used L’Oreal Always Toasted Lip Liner along with a mixture two lip glosses from Nars and Bobbi Brown.
Emma’s choice of dress along with her hair and makeup worked really well with her flowers – red and white roses by Bernie Watkins.
And, the very next day, Emma and Matt jetted off to New Zealand for their honeymoon.
We wish them all the very best for the future!
