It’s Saturday 5th November; standing in the lobby of The Royal Horseguards Hotel in Charing Cross I suddenly hear a familiar voice coming towards me saying hello. There is a noticeable tone of excitement in the female voice.
All of a sudden the voice is standing in front of me. Today is the wedding day of Chandana who is now standing beside me beaming with enthusiasm whilst introducing me to her female companions.
Chandana (a consultant anesthetist) met Mark whilst at University and today they are having a post wedding party at the Weston Roof Pavilion at the Royal Festival Hall, after having their formal wedding in Indian a month earlier.
The morning preparations started as the day meant to go on. Chandana hit play on her IPod and the room was filled with joyous sounds. The girls had fun sipping champagne, swapping fashion tips and reliving past memories of each other. Chandana’s makeover started with me pin curling her hair and then preparing her foundation base.
We opted for a subtle make up look but with a dramatic eye make up, using black and gold eyeshadows to create a sultry smokey eye.
Once the make up was finished Chandana’s hair was pinned up to create a soft romantic look.
Chandana’s dress was purchased from Matches Fashion in Marylebone; they offer a superb and FREE personal shopping service. She picked out a stunning navy blue piece by Designer Osman Yousefzada- whose dresses are worn by many celebrities, but most famously Danni Minogue wore a grey number made by Osman on the X Factor. Chandana paired the dress with a mouthwatering pair of Red Suede Christian Louboutin heels and had a clutch bag custom made by Katherine Pogson to match the gorgeous shoes.
After giving Chandana a little touch up of Lust Lipglass by MAC she was really and truly ready to go and meet her prince.
I left the girls at the hotel to enjoy what remained of their champagne.
