Wedding Tattoo Cover Up – I do or I don’t?

When it comes to your wedding day, of course it goes without saying that every bride wants to look their best, calling on wedding for hair and makeup specialists at Beauty Call to help them achieve it.

So it’s not surprising that many brides consider whether to show or cover their tattoos. I think this comes into consideration for a number of reasons.  A tattoo is an expression of individuality and usually has a meaning for the “owner”.

Of course there are those tattoos that were done when very young and not considered in such favourable terms as one gets older!

I have been to several jobs this year who have asked me this exact question and my reply to them all is, don’t listen to outside influences, as those of us who have had their wedding day know there can be many opinions on things, but go with your gut and how you feel most comfortable.

I know some brides who have styled their bridal look around their tattoo and its given their look a quirky and unique feel!

Recent bride Clare who got married last month at Kent Life, Maidstone was having laser treatment on her tattoo so it was barely visible anyway.

Whereas Dee married at Knowle Country House in Sevenoaks decided she wanted hers on show.

For those brides like Emma, just married this weekend at Turkey Mill, Maidstone she just had one tattoo that she no longer liked so wanted that covering up, have no fear there are plenty of products your professional makeup artist should carry and be able to help you with.  A personal favourite of mine is Keromask. It does a fab job and if applied correctly will not transfer onto your dress.

So whatever you decided, there’s no wrong or right here ladies just make sure it’s your own personal choice!

Happy wedding day!
