Beautiful Wedding Venue in Hertfordshire – Brocket Hall Estate

Looking for a beautiful wedding venue in Hertfordshire?

Look no further…..there are three venues on the Brocket Hall Estate, which is a beautiful location to hold this very special event, catering for all size wedding receptions and civil ceremonies.

Brocket Hall

One of England’s finest stately homes, both in terms of its architecture and it’s history, which is as varied as it is intriguing! It’s set within nearly 550 acres of landscaped grounds, few properties in England can claim to have been the home to two prime ministers, played host to George IV and Queen Victoria and witnessed many pranks by the infamous Lady Caroline Lamb, who introduced the Waltz to England in the Ballroom or Saloon.

The ballroom be the room for your Wedding Breakfast; which can seat from 50 – 150 guests if booking Brocket Hall exclusively. The Ballroom is sumptuously decorated with fine paintings, including the stunning ceiling painted by Sir Francis Wheatley when Brocket Hall was built in 1760.  Your special day would include the unique service of our Head Butler and his team. The boardroom can accommodate your evening reception of up to 200 guests.

There are 30 luxurious double bedrooms within Brocket Hall and a further 16 bedrooms in the Melbourne Lodge, sleeping a maximum of 88 guests.

Brocket Hall Golf Club

Superb views over the championship golf courses and Broadwater. The Oak Room has picturesque views over the Broadwater and can accommodate 80 to 120 guests comfortably for a Wedding Breakfast, and hold 150 people for a finger-buffet and dancing.  This room has oak beams with a vaulted ceiling, and it’s original barn features. Guests have direct access to the garden terrace for their drinks reception.  Melbourne Lodge bedrooms are available to guests for your occasion.

Auberge du Lac Restaurant

Formerly, the 17th Century hunting lodge for the Estate, it is now a unique, tranquil waterside restaurant. The restaurant is offered on an exclusive use basis for your wedding, allowing yourself, family, colleagues and guests the privacy of Hertfordshire’s award-winning restaurant. A more intimate number of 30 to 60 guests can be accommodated within Auberge du Lac, with an additional 40 guests for your evening reception. Melbourne Lodge bedrooms are available to guests for your occasion.

I will be at the Brocket Hall Wedding Fayre this Sunday – 19th January 2014.
