As things start to wind down post wedding season, and with Christmas & the New Year fast approaching, I’m now reflecting on the very productive (and very sunny) summer season for me at Beauty Call.
It has been a very busy year here at Beauty Call with lots of weddings, special occasions, national & county wedding shows/ fayres….
So here are some of my highlights of my weddings in Wiltshire:
The gorgeous Natalie at her romantic rustic style wedding in Cats Abbey Gloucestershire, showing beautifully the trend of the season: soft high bun with braids under & around fresh flowers.
Katharine Weaver at Hovington House getting buttoned up, showing off her elegant bun and intricate back detail.
What a scorcher! Sarah got married on the hottest day of the year, not just that in decades! Hats off to her though, she looked as cool as a cucumber and beautiful – also styling a French plait to the side of a loose chignon. It was definitely the summer of plaits/braids!
Malin looking graceful in a 20’s style wedding dress and long cathedral veil.
Lovely Laura D who got married at Wookey Hole in Cheddar!
Now onto another lovely Laura this time it was the turn of one of my oldest & sweetest friend’s who got married…super morning getting all the family ready, it didn’t even feel like work!
The lovely Laura Price, with hubby now, Mrs Nash
Liz who went for a relaxed yet romantic hair & makeup look back in August at one of my favourite venues, Chaffeymoor Grange Dorset.
My last and one of my faves of the summer season where the weather didn’t disappoint.
The gorgeous and very kind Joanna who got married at Priston Mill Bath. Photographed by the very talented James Green.
It was then time for the wedding fair season and Beauty Call at The National Wedding Shows! I had such a great time meeting all the brides to be and helping with our mini trials.
It was also a great opportunity to see what next year was looking like in the bridal style stakes where models took to the catwalk to show off designer wedding gowns and trending hair & make-up for next year. Boho braids were still in but kept informal looking and not too structured.
Lots of hair ups! There were only a couple of models sporting down do’s.
My forecast for next year will be lots more to come from up do’s but as well as classic sleek it will all be about the bigger the better, lots of volume, texture and piled high! Statement floral headpieces look pretty big for next year in soft materials. As for make-up understated with the all important dewy glow is still key but eyes with a twist, defined eyes in white! Yes white! As well as feline flicks making the most out of your eyes.
Here’s to a very exciting 2014!!
